Qualcomm has unveiled its latest mobile processors, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, placing a heavy emphasis on on-device artificial intelligence features. The new silicon includes advanced sensing hubs capable of running small models locally, enabling enhanced personalization, voice agents, and smarter task automation.
The high-end Extreme variant can locally run a 30-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts model while also introducing professional-grade camera capabilities, such as 8K video recording at 60fps. Motorola announced during the summit that its upcoming smartphone will be powered by the new flagship processor later this year.
