While the platform’s content remains public by default, this control helps prevent unwanted viral exposure for users who prefer sharing strictly with their existing followers.
This addition addresses growing user concerns over algorithmic visibility and unintended broad audiences. Because the preference is tied directly to the user account at the protocol level, it extends across the AT Proto ecosystem, offering consistent privacy-oriented controls.
