Flow Engineering, a startup specializing in artificial intelligence tools for hardware design, has secured $50 million in a Series B funding round. The three-year-old San Francisco-based company has reached a valuation of $750 million, backed by prominent venture capital firms and high-profile investors.
The investment round was co-led by Valar Equity Partners and Atreides Management, with continued participation from Sequoia Capital, which led the startup’s previous round. Additionally, former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha joined the investment individually and took a seat on the company’s board of directors.
The company focuses on streamlining the complex process of physical product engineering by deploying AI agents that automatically align CAD drawings with simulations and product requirements. Its growing client roster features major industry players such as Rivian, Anduril, General Motors joint ventures, and Joby Aviation.
