Tesla has once again pushed back the scheduled reveal event for its redesigned second-generation Roadster, moving the date to October 15 due to severe weather forecasts. The company explained that because the showcase must take place outdoors—partly to demonstrate cold gas thrusters developed with SpaceX—local meteorological risks forced the difficult rescheduling.
Originally unveiled as a concept back in 2017, the supercar project has suffered through numerous delays while collecting substantial deposits from enthusiastic buyers. Even after the upcoming unveiling takes place, actual vehicle production is projected by leadership to take a year or more to materialize.
