Defense technology startup Hadrian has secured $1.37 billion in a massive new funding round, pushing its valuation to nearly $7.87 billion. The round drew participation from prominent financial institutions and venture capital firms, including WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, and Valor Equity Partners, bringing the company’s total funding to approximately $2 billion.
Unlike many defense tech firms developing AI-driven weaponry, Hadrian focuses on building automated manufacturing facilities to mass-produce precision parts for existing military vehicles and infrastructure, such as submarines. The company recently expanded its footprint with a major facility in Alabama.
The fresh capital will likely fuel further infrastructure expansion, addressing critical supply chain bottlenecks in the defense sector through advanced manufacturing automation and scaling up production capacity.
