In addition to user-generated annotations, Spotify is bringing the concept to its official editorial teams. Curators of major playlists like Today’s Top Hits and RapCaviar can now include brief notes detailing their selection choices. New Editor Profiles are also being launched, giving fans a closer look at the tastemakers behind the platform’s top curated music.
This update reflects Spotify’s ongoing effort to foster a more social and community-driven environment, helping it stand out against rivals like Apple Music and YouTube Music. User notes are currently deploying across mobile devices globally, while editor notes roll out initially in select English-speaking markets.
