Thrive Holdings secures $2B to scale enterprise AI

Thrive Holdings has successfully secured $2 billion in a fresh funding round, pushing its valuation to $12 billion with backing from major investors like SoftBank and Altimeter Capital. The firm operates similarly to a private equity company, acquiring traditional businesses in sectors such as accounting and IT to seamlessly integrate advanced artificial intelligence into their daily workflows.

A core element of its strategy is its deep partnership with OpenAI, which holds an ownership stake and dispatches specialized engineers directly to portfolio companies to accelerate AI deployment. Early implementations have shown remarkable success, dramatically cutting down tax preparation times and significantly speeding up IT help desk resolutions.

Part of the newly raised capital will fund the launch of a third major pillar focusing on regulatory services for physical infrastructure and built assets. By combining AI efficiency with professional expertise, the firm aims to cut through bureaucratic bottlenecks and streamline the development of critical projects.

  • Raised $2 billion at a $12 billion valuation
  • Close operational partnership and equity backing from OpenAI
  • Focuses on acquiring and modernizing traditional businesses
  • Expanding into regulatory services for physical infrastructure
