Google has officially rolled out its AI-driven virtual closet feature in Google Photos for both Android and iOS users in select markets. Inspired by the digital wardrobe from the movie ‘Clueless’, the tool automatically catalogs clothing items from your pictures, allowing you to organize, filter, and mix-and-match outfits directly within the app.
Currently available in the U.S., Brazil, and India, the feature prioritizes privacy by ensuring wardrobe data is not shared with third-party retailers. Alongside the virtual closet, the update brings several other enhancements to Google Photos, including Gemini-powered editing prompts, advanced markup tools, and nostalgia-inspired photo filters called ‘Moods’.
- AI virtual closet now live on Google Photos for Android and iOS.
- Automatically identifies and organizes clothing items from user photos.
- Initially launched in the US, Brazil, and India with strict privacy controls.
