Roblox has unveiled a major expansion of its developer tools at its annual conference, focusing heavily on generative AI and cross-platform publishing. The company is broadening the availability of its prompt-based game creation tool, ‘Build,’ while adding desktop support, an asset library, and upcoming scene-generation capabilities to make game development more accessible.
In a strategic shift, Roblox is enabling creators to distribute their games beyond the core platform as standalone apps on mobile, PC, and consoles, alongside browser-based access via simple links. To support its growing creator ecosystem, the company also introduced new financial products, including daily payouts through a dedicated digital wallet and an upcoming payment card.
